Guardiola wary of wounded Arsenal
Pep Guardiola has warned his Manchester City side they will have to be on top form to down Arsenal on Sunday.
Sunday's clash at the Emirates Stadium could potentially have a huge bearing on the battle for a top four finish. The Gunners are currently in sixth spot, while City are in third and seven points clear of their hosts ahead of this weekend’s showdown.

Arsenal are without a Premier League win since mid-February and manager Arsene Wenger's future remains the subject of speculation, with some sections of the club’s supporters calling for the Frenchman to leave when his contract expires this summer.

However, Guardiola insists the north London outfit remain a dangerous opponent despite their recent struggles and the uncertainty surrounding his counterpart – and he stressed City cannot afford to underestimate their hosts.

"When Arsene starts to win, the [Arsenal] fans will be happy again … I promise you, 100%," he told reporters.

He added: "When they lose a lot of games this is the most anxious moment to play them, they have good quality. Arsenal is a top team."

"I travelled to the Emirates Stadium with Barcelona and Bayern Munich and it's always difficult. I know how difficult it will be."

Arsenal have only lost two of their 13 Premier League games at the Emirates Stadium this season, although they were humbled 5-1 by Bayern in the Champions League at the start of March.

City saw a six-match unbeaten run on the road ended in Monaco as they crashed out of Europe prior to the international break.

The Gunners have been boosted by the return of Mesut Ozil, who may start following six weeks out but keeper Petr Cech is unavailable due to a calf injury.

Lucas Perez and Santi Cazorla are also absent for the hosts, with the latter set to miss the rest of the season.

City pair Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling picked up knocks over the international break but should be involved, although Guardiola remains without Gabriel Jesus and Ilkay Gundogan.

Arsenal are n/a to secure a win and City can be backed at n/a.

Defeat for the Gunners would be a huge blow in their bid for Champions League football next season and Guardiola and City may see a point as a good result in the capital on Sunday, as such a draw is the recommended bet for this Premier League showpiece.

Recommended bet: Draw at n/a.
