Bayern to breeze past toothless Wolves
Bayern welcome Wolfsburg to the Allianz Arena and goals look to be on the cards for this Bundesliga showdown.
The Bavarian giants have already tasted defeat in the league this season at the hands of Hoffenheim with a 2-0 defeat.

However, the backlash has been pretty impressive from Carlo Ancelotti’s men, as Bayern have bounced back with a 3-0 win over Anderlecht in the Champions League, followed by Bundesliga wins over Mainz (4-0) and Schalke (3-0).

That goalscoring form will put some fear in the heart of the Wolfsburg defence ahead of their trip to the Allianz Arena with Poland international Robert Lewandowski once again leading from the front and summer signing James Rodriguez also impressing.

What will also concern newly-appointed head coach Martin Schmidt is Wolfsburg’s miserable record against the Bundesliga giants.

Bayern have managed to win all of their last six games in this fixture and it’s a formidable 14-0 aggregate scoreline in favour of the Bavarians when you put those results together.

With two goals in their last three outings in the Bundesliga against Werder Bremen, Stuttgart and Hannover; finding the back of the net has been a difficult thing for Wolfsburg and that is ultimately what cost ex-manager Andries Jonker his job earlier this week.

Schmidt will be hoping the ‘new manager effect’ will have some impact on his squad as they look to prove themselves to the new boss.

However, the Allianz Arena is not really the place where teams are given a chance to shine and it could well be another heavy defeat for a Wolfsburg side low on confidence.

An unlikely draw is probably the best the visitors can home for and is available at n/a.

However it’s hard to see Wolfsburg getting anything from this game and it should be a case of seeing how many Bayern can score as opposed to the result.
